Hassan Bitar, MD
Board-Certified Neurologist
Dr. Bitar is a board-certified neurologist who has cared for thousands of patients across the full range of neurological conditions over nearly two decades of practice in the Brandon and Tampa community. His career began in internal medicine: he completed his internal medicine residency at Boston University in 1995, earned his internal medicine board certification that year, and after relocating to Florida in 1996 practiced internal medicine for six years, a foundation that still informs the whole-person approach he brings to neurology.
He completed the neurology residency program at the University of South Florida from 2003 to 2006 and received his board certification in neurology from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in 2010. He holds privileges at Brandon Regional Hospital, where he has cared for hospitalized patients over the years, building deep experience with complex and acute neurological conditions.
Since 2006, Dr. Bitar has led neurological care at the Neuro Center, caring for the full range of neurological conditions, including headaches and migraine, epilepsy and seizures, Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders, memory disorders such as Alzheimer's, neuropathy, stroke and TIA, and sleep disorders. He performs and interprets on-site diagnostic testing, including EEG and EMG/nerve conduction studies, and performs in-office procedures such as Botox for chronic migraine and trigger point injections.
