Conditions We Treat
Other Conditions
Overview
The nervous system is complex, and it affects nearly everything we do, so neurological concerns do not always fit neatly into a single category. Along with the conditions we treat most often, our providers evaluate and care for a range of other conditions, including sleep disorders and learning and attention disorders.
If you are experiencing symptoms that affect your brain, nerves, sleep, focus, or daily function and are not sure where they fit, we would be glad to help you find answers.

Sleep
Sleep disorders
Sleep disorders affect the quality, timing, or amount of your sleep. Over time they can affect how you feel and function, and they can contribute to other health problems.
- Trouble falling or staying asleep
- Excessive daytime sleepiness
- Irregular sleep and wake patterns
Sleep problems can also be a sign of an underlying medical or mental-health condition, which is worth evaluating.
Learning & Attention
Learning and attention disorders
These are brain-based differences in skills like reading, writing, focus, and organization. They are not related to intelligence, vision, or hearing. Examples include:
- Dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia
- ADHD and executive-function difficulties
- Dyspraxia and nonverbal learning differences
A person can have more than one of these together.
Our Approach
How we help
The nervous system touches nearly every part of daily life, and not every neurological concern fits neatly into one category. Our board-certified providers evaluate a wide range of conditions, work to identify what is going on, and guide you toward the right treatment or referral. If you are unsure whether your symptoms are neurological, we are glad to help you find out.

Other Conditions: Frequently Asked Questions
What kinds of conditions fall under 'other'?
This includes conditions that affect the nervous system but do not fit our main categories, such as sleep disorders and learning and attention disorders. If you are not sure where your symptoms fit, our team can help point you in the right direction.
Do you evaluate sleep problems?
Yes. Sleep disorders affect the quality, timing, or duration of sleep and can affect your health and daily function. We can evaluate your symptoms, look for underlying causes, and guide next steps.
Do you treat ADHD and learning or attention disorders?
We evaluate learning and attention differences, such as ADHD and executive-function difficulties, in the patients we see (age 16 and older). We work to understand your symptoms and recommend an appropriate plan or referral.
When should I see a neurologist?
See a neurologist when symptoms affecting your brain, nerves, or daily function are new, persistent, or getting worse, or when you simply want a clearer answer about what is causing them.
